The first thing that catches your eye is the distinction between VPS and VDS services, although any technician knows that both terms mean the same thing. Even Wikipedia mentions this.
Test results
Despite the more than double price difference between VPS and VDS, no performance difference was detected. To be more precise, the $10 VPS performed 0.5% better than the $21 VDS. This is marketing scam: calling the service something else, misleading users, and charging twice as much. It's just plain ugly.
If you look at a $10 virtual server, its performance is decent. But if you're looking at the deception and the higher price tag but the same performance, any desire to use Hivelocity is lost.
